I’ve found a new word – it’s a muscle in the lower leg that sits to the side in front of the calves. The reason I’ve found this new word is that I have a slight strain on the inner soleus muscle on my right leg. I’ve iced it up frequently since my last run and as a precaution I decided not to do the required 10k run this morning with Andrew.
I could have juiced up on fenac and probably been OK, but if nothing else I’ve learned not to treat injuries with drugs, especially after my experience around Melbourne Marathon in October where I did mask the injury and suffered for 3 months.
I’m having another rest day tomorrow and then back into the plan on Thursday – 8km.
