Communication Breakdown

The Pool! As some of you will know we’re building a new house and this is our pool -I drove by the first time and thought it had only been delivered, but this is the finished product -less the fittings, piping etc.

The top of the pool is supposed to be 500mm higher than the top of the slab when it’s poured and it’s meant to be level. This is an in ground pool, believe it or not.

Problem is nobody told the pool guy where the slab was to be laid and at what height and he never asked. The result is what you see. The customer (me) has to instruct them both how to communicate. A simple phone call or a stake in the ground would have solved this, but now they all have to come back.

My mistake was thinking that they knew what they were doing – god help me.

Born in the UK in 1961 - I migrated to Australia in 1991. I've never been overweight, but I drink and eat too much and probably run too much nowadays!
