I just bought a new car – a Honda Accord. A much bigger car than my last car – a Subaru both in size and in the capacity of the fuel tank. I think the most fuel I ever put into the Subaru was about $70.00 – Today I filled up the Honda and $94.89 later  I’m still trying to rationalise it – it’ll take a lot longer to use, wont it? wont it??

My new sliver car is now an ugly shade of grey due to the rain we had today and I’m getting used to the new feel of the leather seats and their stiff lumbar support.

I woke early this morning; a leaky gutter was giving me water torture on the constant dripping – rain on metal was trying to convince me to turn the alarm off at 5:30am and go back to sleep. I somehow crawled out of bed to check the weather and was pleased to see only a fine mist.

Threw the gear on and went for a run – because I’ve been chopping and changing my runs of late I had a choice of 5.5k, 6k, 6.5k or 7k – so I ran 7.25k! Sunday’s long run is out of the way after Tuesday’s run with Andrew.

A long weekend coming up and then I’m off to Brisbane for a few days – this time I’ve got a hotel on the outskirts of the city so I’m hoping for an uninterrupted run.

Born in the UK in 1961 - I migrated to Australia in 1991. I've never been overweight, but I drink and eat too much and probably run too much nowadays!
