A Fresh Coat Of Paint

We own a unit around the corner from the house we’ve just knocked down and the tenants have just moved out. They were a professional couple with a child but they sure have a lack of respect for other peoples’ property. When they moved in the unit was brand new. In 15 months we’ve had to repair the dishwasher, broken tiles in the shower, unblock a sink and replace door handles and now that they’ve moved out they are having to pay for a fresh coat of paint to the entire unit. They had marked the walls in 248 places (some over 6 feet high) and decided that they’d touch up the marks with a different color paint many shades darker and instead of the 3mm mark only being covered they proceeded to cover 20 times the area – idiots. They also decided not to clean the carpets (or vac), the tiles, the oven, the bench tops, the shower screens, toilets or the the mirror doors on the wardrobes – dirty scum bags.

The beauty about my latest running regime is that I get 3 days rest per week so that if I need to take a break, I have many opportunities within the same week to make the time/km up. This week was one of those; no running since Thursday and I got up before 5am this morning for my long/easy run (40-45 mins). A very comfortable run breathing wise and my longest this preparation. I’m running 27km per week at the moment but it ramps up to 40km by 17th April – Run 4 The Kids.

Michelle is running about 15km per week and seems to be able to pull out a 8km run whenever she feels like it and at the same pace. Her weight continues to tumble and her wardrobe is in constant review! She’s down to 67kgs – some may recall that 3 years ago she was 98kg and just over a month ago she was under 70kg for the first time in years.

My weight has also dipped in the last week, under 80kgs since xmas – must be the alcohol!
