It Just Sounds Fancy

That’s the sign at the Windsor Hotel in South Perth where we enjoyed a couple of refreshments after a long day at the zoo. It’s actually a very nice hotel, with fancy prices.

We start them young in my family! There's actually a small glass of lemonade behind my beer, just in case you're concerned; the photo wasn't intended this way.

A mildish day by Perth standards (25c and overcast) and no running yesterday but as mentioned we went to the Perth zoo where we enjoy reciprocal rights and of course, free entry. I decided to take the Garmin to see how far we’d traveled. Whilst we exceeded the half marathon distance the actual walking was only really done from the Ferry to the zoo and back again- all up approximately 8k. The rest was either on the Ferry or on the free buses with a slight detour into the city to pick up supplies for our evening meal.

The zoo is the "boot" shaped bit in South Perth

That’s either a small child or a big beer, or both.

  2. The small child is 4 and the beer is a pint!
