Batman comes to town

Michelle’s birthday today so we are off out for a meal with 10 others tonight. We’ll probably be out relatively late considering our childrens ages. To that end we’re preparing for tomorrow’s City to Bay run this afternoon. We asked the boys what they’re going to wear; Harry our eldest (8) conforms to the standard “skins” and Sam (4)…..

So if you see a strange man with a mini Batman – the strange man is me! say hi.

Harry, Sam and I are all doing the “Family Run 1.5k” with Sam aiming for 5 minutes! I’ll catch him up at the finish line.

Michelle’s doing the 10k and hoping for sub 70 minutes, which I think she is more than capable of.

Haven’t run on the road since New Years Day , but I’ve had 2 runs on the Gym’s treadmill (3k and 6k today) and 3 cycle classes in the past week. All without any discomfort which bodes well for my intention to start running on the road again while we’re in Perth.

1.5km in 5 minutes would be good going. Make sure Batman has some Bodyglide in his utility belt, that uniform looks like it could chafe!
