That’s me – been doing little exercise of late – been super cautious now and hopefully will resume running next week.
Week 8 without a run, although I could have done a heap more swimming or bike riding. It’s just that I have to time the swimming or I’ll find the lanes get too congested – 1 other in my lane is congested, I mean how dare they? Bike riding is less of a challenge and I have Harry my eldest as a motivator, however the hills always gave me grief the day after.
I put a new saddle and bell on my bike on Monday; I’d swear they’re worth more than the bike itself! Adjusted the saddle too high and tried a little spin down my driveway and fell off and chewed up my right shin, bruised my left knee and sprained my right wrist – must have looked great – t shirt, shorts and thongs.
Be thankful for every run you do without an injury because this is torture.
You are doing it tough aren’t you!
You’ll have to ditch Harry and come for a longer ride with me, I reckon!
I’ve fallen off in my drive way a couple of times due to cleat-related incidents (ie forgetting to unclip), fortunately though haven’t injured myself, falling onto grass both times.
I also added a super expensive seat to my ride- I can’t even begin to say out loud how much it cost- so I feel the pain there. And obviously being prone to a stack I know how that feels too! Hope you heal well.
You should try doing crazy weaving backstroke when someone looks like joining your lane- or come up with something to put them off completely!
Like piddle in the pool, Sara?
Haggis- sheep gizzards with black pepper. Sausages are the same, different animal though.
