Two’s Company

Today I had my first ever run with another person – it just happened to be Andrew (ajhblog) We had a great easy run where we talked non stop all the way round. Feels like I’ve known him for years.

I had two rest days (Tuesday and Wednesday) due to a niggle in my right thigh and in truth I should probably not have gone this morning but I didn’t want to let Andrew down and I thoroughly enjoyed myself – I now have a fair amount of discomfort.

Feeling uncomfortable at 6:00am this morning I took a Panadeine forte and a fenax to mask/dull the pain.

We are going to try 2 runs per week from here on in and the loop is a nice 8k – out uphill and a steady decline on the way back, nearly all on the walking tracks.

Downloaded the data when I got home and found my watch picked up Andrew’s heart rate strap – as I wasn’t wearing mine. Begs the question: what happens if both watches pick up both/either of the others strap and how would you know?

I really enjoyed this morning too! When you say “your first ever run with another person” you must mean other than your family of course 🙂

I hope your discomfort fades quickly. I have a little niggle in my knee too, but I think that’s because I’ve let my home workout/stretching/massage routine go the last month or so. Back into that tonight!

  2. Yes, I forgot about the boys! Probably meant first having an adult conversation.
