Sunday is my easy run day and I’ve decided to incorporate Harry (my 8year old son) into my regime, to assist me in running slower on my “easy” runs and also to get some k’s into his legs.
To date 2.8k was the furthest he’d ever run, so I told him prior that if he needs to stop or slow down then just say so and we would. The intention is to run 6:15-6:45 minute k’s.
Didn’t stop once and did not seem out of breath even. At this speed I can comfortably hold a conversation and was using the same to gauge his ability.
24:08 minutes for 4k! Harry is now not doing the C25k – he can do 5k on his ear!
If he and Michelle do that at the Maribyrnong race, I’ve got to cough up a new Ipad. Better start saving.
I continued on my run and covered another 3.2k in a comfortable 17 minutes, this brought the 100k’s for August and on track to beat 150k’s for a month, my biggest ever month. – no wind this morning and the air was icy cold, perfect conditions for me.
Hammers got done again, this time by Bolton 1-3 – what are Chelsea going to do to us? this seasons looking ugly already, 0 points and negative 5 goal difference.
We had our election yesterday and result is still close to call -looking like a hung parliament. How do some of these independents sleep at night? giving your allegiance to the ALP. And Bob Brown and the greens – balance of power- give me strength, the man’s an absolute nut job.
Make the most of it, won’t be too long and he’ll be slowing down so you can keep up 🙂
Ha ha,
He probably already is – just saving my pride!
Didn’t realise you were a hammers fan… that changes everything!! Glad to see runs are still going well!
Changes everything for the good or bad?
im a spurs fan 😉
Oh No, I was beginning to like you!
Pretty good for an 8 year-old.
BTW – I’m a Charlton fan.
Another London side – makes a change from the Chelsea/ManU/Liverpool supposed fans over here.
We’ll be playing you lot soon by the looks of things!
*waits for her iPad int he mail from Alex*
